DAY 01 : Arrival at Dehradun

Departure and Return location: Dehradun (Uttarakhand India)

When you arrive in Dehradun, one of our staff will be there to meet you at the bus stop, train station, or airport. You will be going to the lodging that has been reserved for a complimentary night’s stay in Dehradun. From the Dehradun airport, it will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the hotel.

*Please be aware that in order to arrange a smooth pick-up, Travel santa needs receive your arrival details one week prior to your anticipated arrival.

Additionally, travellers should aim to get in Dehradun by 4:00 pm or earlier so they can start their Chardham trip.

The yatris will learn about the tour during the evening, and our crew will provide them duffel bags to pack only what they absolutely need (duffel bags can hold no more than two to five kilogrammes per person). As transporting suitcases or trolleys onboard the helicopters is not permitted, travellers must keep all of their essentials in their duffel bags. DAY 02 : Yamunotri Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Dehradun Helipad – Sahastradhara to Kharsali – Yamunotri Helipad)

05:00 AM: Check-Out from Dehradun Hotel

06:00 AM: Departure from Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun (By Helicopter) to Kharsali (Yamunotri Helipad).

06:30 AM: Arrival at Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri.

From the Dehradun helipad, the auspicious Chardham Yatra will begin. At precisely 5:00 am, guests at hotels in Dehradun must check out. After that, one of our agents will drive them to the Sahastradhara Helipad base. The travellers would be greeted by our staff on the ground. The staff members will help the passengers settle in the waiting area where they will receive their Pre-Flight instructions.

They would then board and take off around 6:00 am for the Kharsali helipad in Yamunotri Dham. Travellers will check into their accommodations after they reach Kharsali, which is expected to happen at around 6:00 am, and then begin their journey to Yamunotri Dham. Yamunotri Darshan will take approximately 5 hours, 30 minutes to complete the journey. It takes 6 kilometres to reach Yamunotri Dham. As a result, depending on the availability, passengers will traverse the 6-kilometer distance by pony or palki.

If operational, travellers may go for additional sightseeing.

DAY 03 : Gangotri Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Yamunotri Helipad – Kharsali to Harshil – Gangotri Helipad)

05:30 AM: Check-Out from Hotel

06:30 AM: Departure from Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri (By Helicopter).

07:00 AM: Arrival Harsil Helipad, Gangotri.

Yatris will fly via Harsil Helipad on Day 3 from Kharsali Helipad to Gangotri Dham. The passengers will leave their hotels at 5.30 in the morning, board the helicopter at 6.30, and arrive at the Harsil Helipad at around 7 in the morning. The second Dham on the route, Harsil, is the most gorgeous and attractive stop and is known for its huge apple orchards.

Travellers will therefore visit the temple after breakfast or lunch, depending on the temple rush. For Gangotri Darshan, the approximate round-trip time will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.

It takes about 50 minutes to drive the 25 miles to the Gangotri temple. There are many sights and unpaved trails to explore in Harshil.

DAY 04 : Kedarnath Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Gangotri Helipad – Harshil to Sersi / Guptakashi / Phata – Kedarnath)

07:00 AM: Departure Harsil Helipad, Gangotri (By Helicopter).

07:30 AM: Arrival at Kedarnath (Sersi / Phata / Guptakashi Base Camp).

The fourth day will see trekkers making their way to Kedarnath Dham. As a result, guests must leave their hotels by 6 am. They will take off from the Harsil helipad and head in the direction of Kedarnath Dham. They will arrive at Kedarnath’s Sirsi, Guptkashi, and Phata helipads. Travellers will head to the Kedarnath Darshan after breakfast. The Darshan at the Kedarnath Temple takes about two hours.

It takes roughly seven minutes to travel by shuttle from Sersi to the Kedarnath temple.

DAY 05 : Badrinath Dham by Helicopter

(Transfer: Kedarnath Helipad – Sersi / Guptakasi / Phata to Badrinath)

DAY 06 : Return to Dehradun

Covid Guidlines for Chardham Yatra​ 2023

  • Masks must be worn by passengers when boarding the helicopter.
  • This year, neither a Covid-19 immunisation certificate nor a negative Covid-19 test report will be required from Devotees.
  • For travellers travelling inside and between states, Covid 19 tests are not required.

What to Wear in the 4 Dham Yatra Tour 2023?

You should wear light clothing in the warm months of May and June. However, you should bring woollen clothing in the months of September to October when it rains and the temperature decreases.

Guidelines for 4 Dham Travellers for the Helicopter Tour

  • In a single helicopter, a maximum of 05–06 passengers/guests are permitted.
  • Each traveller will be allowed to bring 5 kilogrammes of luggage. Those who bring too much luggage will not be able to take it in the helicopter any further.
  • Due to the great height of the temples, keep the medical supplies close by.
  • Timings can change based on the weather, technical issues, governmental approvals, etc.
  • Due to the restricted capacity, passengers must take duffel bags or soft bags instead of trolley bags.
  • For the Chardham yatra, three helicopters will take off on the same day. Depending on the guests’ body weight, we may change them.
  • If the traveller weighs more than 80 kg, there would be an additional fee of Rs 200 per kg at Kedarnath Shuffle.
  • The waiting period varies from 10 minutes to three hours while switching helicopters at Kedarnath or Guptkashi. Depending on shuttle slots, the environment, technical issues, or both.
  • Depending on their bodily weight, passengers may be split into two groups when changing the helicopter at the Kedarnath/Guptkashi shuttle.
  • Except for Yamunotri, which is in a remote or rural location, the properties on the tour are in the 3- to 4-star range.
  • The overall weight of the passengers should not exceed 430 kg.
  • At least an hour before the scheduled departure time, all passengers will be transported to all helipads. You could occasionally have to wait in this situation at the government helipad.
  • At the time of registration, be sure to disclose your precise and real body weight. Prior to takeoff, we shall weigh you; it shouldn’t be more than what you have told us. If a passenger’s actual body weight is greater than what they reported, the company has the right to refuse boarding. Please refrain from sharing any imagined body weight.

Helicopter Weight Limitation

Your weight will be measured before takeoff, and if we find that you weigh more than the standard weight, you may be prevented from boarding the helicopter. In that case, you can contact us and get advice. According to the aviation department, only 6 people can sit in a helicopter, and the maximum weight of each passenger should be 72 kg.

 

Additionally, a passenger can only carry a maximum of 5 kilogrammes of weight with them while a helicopter’s maximum load is 430 kg, which excludes passenger baggage.

Disclaimer for Bad Weather

Any sort of flying is difficult in hilly places, and passengers should be ready for any emergency that can arise due to inclement weather, heavy air traffic, passenger illness, or other unanticipated circumstances. Although the crew has enough safety equipment, the passengers must keep their preparations up to date.

 

Our Payment Policy

A specific advance payment must be given for all contracted services in order to hold the reservation on a confirmed basis. The remaining balance may be paid before departure from your country or upon arrival in India, as mutually agreed upon by team management and guests. Based on the type of service being provided and the length of time left before the service begins, management employees have the authority to determine the amount to be paid as an advance payment. In addition to the aforementioned, full payment may be requested in advance (as described in your tour proposal) in select circumstances, such as Special Train Journeys and hotel or resort reservations made during the busiest holidays (Christmas and New Year).

 

Mode of Payment for FIT (Frequent Individual Travelers):

  1. order confirmation and 30% of the total
  2. Day 1 of the tour requires 70% of the total.

Mode of Payment for GIT (Groups Independent Travelers):

  1. 50% of the total is due when the order is confirmed.
  2. 50% of the total – One month prior to the start of the tour.

The overseas advance payment can be done using a credit card or a wire transfer to our bank.

Cancellation Policy

If a tour or travel service needs to be cancelled for whatever reason—avoidable or not—we must be informed in writing. The following cancellation fees would apply, and they would take effect as of the day we receive written notification of your cancellation:

 

  1. 30 days before arrival: A retention fee of 30% of the tour cost will be applied.
  2. 50% of the Tour’s cost will be charged as a retention 15 days before arrival.
  3. 70% of the Tour’s cost will be charged as a retention 7 days prior to arrival.
  4. No Show or Less Than 7 Days: Retention will be charged at 100% of the Tour’s cost.

A different cancellation policy is in effect for reservations made for Special Train Journeys and hotels during high season (which can be advised as and when necessary).

Terms and Conditions

  1. Children over the age of two must purchase full tickets.
  2. In a four-dham yatra by helicopter, there is no provision for senior citizens or children to receive concessions.
  3. Wherever necessary, we shall provide the six passengers with one cab.
  4. The laws of Delhi jurisdiction will govern any disputes involving the validity, implementation, execution of the service, interpretation, or any other aspect of its terms and conditions.
  5. The traveller should be transported to Dehradun using other means of transportation in the event of bad weather and exigencies.
  6. The price won’t change whether or not the royalty payments do.
  7. We have safety regulations that state that luggage weighing more than 5 kilogrammes is not permitted in the helicopter.
  8. No money will be reimbursed to the passenger if they are denied boarding because they reported the incorrect body weight.
  9. We won’t charge you more for an additional night. Due to bad weather, the customer is responsible for covering the extra night’s costs.
  10. Both Airtel and BSNL networks are accessible during the Chardham Yatra via helicopter.
  11. For Indians, having an Aadhar card is required, and for foreigners, having a passport is required.
  12. We are not responsible for any tips or contributions; the client is responsible for paying them.
  13. We do not permit any name changes and the ticket cannot be transferred.
